  1. Himank says:

Nice list… but a few doubts
are your Best movies sorted by something coz I dont think DevD should have come so low.
and I guess u missed Chetan Blocks

    • Namrata says:

None of the lists are in any order as such :).
I was very irregular on twitter, so dint really get much of the chetanblocks saga.

  2. Tolia says:

I still think its crap … Sorry.

  3. yash says:

nice compilation of events. Ratings and liking differs from person to persong…but dint expect “twilight” a worst from a girl…and ya avatar and 3 idiots missing fromt the list, prominently.

  4. Anupama says:

“Dil to bachcha hain” from Ishqiya is very good. You must listen to it in case you haven’t.
BTW why is twilight in the list of bad movies?

    • Namrata says:

As much as I like drooling over Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, they are the male versions of a Katrina (during her earlier days :P). The movies are very bad. Very bad.

  5. mythalez says:

hehe .. nice WTF stories list … totally agree with that 😀

  6. Saujanya says:

great list..(i’m saying that despite the fact that i haven’t seen half of the movies listed 😉 )
    btw..where’s avatar??
liked your last yayy! moment.. 🙂

    • Namrata says:

I like my last yayy! moment too ;).

Avatar was good but maybe because of the expectations and hype, I came out of the movie disappointed. Hence, the exclusion from the list!

  7. ShArK says:

Liverpool has just been really unlucky this season. Everybody seems to be injured at the wrong times.

  8. Trisha says:

hahaha the WTF section completely agreed with me. Actually I wud put the whole stupid twilight thing right there in that section too.

  9. Twilight was a decent film, if not a good one and The Ugly Truth was not boring, is what I think. 🙂

Beyonce had some cool songs this year…

    BTW, nice compilation of 2009.

  10. Sixpoint says:

    Hey! Whatup???
Very nice list…Kudos for including (500), Up, and Jenny in the list!!! I thought I was the only unfortunate who liked those. But..Ice Age 3?? Agreed it was cute et al, but one of THE best?
…And, being a scifi/horror advocate, pls allow me the priv of adding these to the BEST list: District 9, Star Trek, Drag me to hell, Let the right one in.

And what happened to Slumdog winning the Oscars being in the WTF list?

  11. rahul says:

    Didn’t like Funny People?

  12. sashidhar says:

final destination has got to be the warast of the most warast movies that have come this year.

IMO the biggest WTF moment of the year the fact that KCR went on a hunger strike and got his way… Worse still people in west bengal and assam followed cue for gorkhaland and bodoland x(

  13. sushma says:

Hey nammu, nice divisions re.. Rakhi’s swayamvar coming to an end inclusion in the yayy moments…hehe :)) good post and btw boom boom pow was what was being played everywhere on dec 31st here…i likd it too 🙂

  14. neuronspike says:

    my favourites (in desc order):

    (500) Days Of Summer – rad, kick-ass and super good.
Up in the Air – Jason Reitman has made it. I’ll watch it.
Jennifer’s Body – Diablo Cody. Who needs reasons when you’re seeing her work?

    • Namrata says:

I happened to watch ‘Up in the Air’ after writing the post and really enjoyed it. Clooney is superb and so is Anna Kendrick. Its not as good as some people are making it out to be, but worth a watch.

      • neuronspike says:

Both are talented individuals (JR & DC) and I believe in ’em. I try not to compare and contrast their works with others. Well, yeah, you can say that about ‘Up in the Air’ 🙂
