‘THE’ women

On the eve of Women’s day, I would like to take the opportunity to honour some fine women for their contribution to the society; or not. The winners were decided by me and me alone.Hence, I receive both the bouquets and the brickbats.

1. Mayawati – ji
For achieving never before seen heights in narcissism

2. Liz Hurley
For showing the world, how to wear a saree

Ouch, my eyes are hurting just looking at the picture!

3. Vijayashanti a.k.a ‘The Lady superstar’
For acting in the most number of cop films and for starting ‘Talli Telangana’ and for being smart enough to show the finger without showing it (for better understanding see the image below)

4. Heidi Montag
For keeping the words ‘plastic surgery’ in public memory even after Michael Jackson’s death

5. Dimpy Ganguly-Mahajan
For displaying exemplary courage and stupidity simultaneously

6. Heroines in Telugu movies
For their commitment towards acting in non consequential roles
(Special jury award,btw)

No pictures. Sorry. I could not muster the strength to google for these ladies and then put up the images.

7. Rakhi Sawant
For outstanding achievement in a reality show, comedy, drama and musical

What an amazing list, ain’t it? A huge round of applause for these women who have set new standards, albeit low, in their respective fields. RESPECT!

PS: On a serious note, ‘Happy Women’s Day’ to all the women who continue to expand their horizons and manage to achieve both the ordinary and the extraordinary.
